Today
is a second class of this term. Teacher starts the class with show the Rubric.
It is the rule of presentation’s evaluation. The first is preparedness. Teacher
gives a student’s 4 point, if they completely prepared and has obviously reheard.
The second is speaks clearly. They will get 4 point, if they speak clearly and distinctly
all the time, and mispronounce the word. The third is use complete sentences.
The fourth is posture & eye contact. The fifth is content and the last is
volume. It is necessary for student to know their mistake for next presentation.
The
first topic of the day is Beliefs. Beliefs are perception and faith of teacher
for understanding the learners and select an approach that is appropriate for them.
It can help the teacher for great teaching. William Burden is dividing into
three areas 1. Language learning 2. Learners 3. Themselves as language teacher
The
second topic is Task-based learning. It is the approach for communicative.
Learners are learning by task. It is the logical outcome of theories of second
language learning associated with 3 things
1.
Students
must show the real understanding in language learning.
2.
Students
are active to use target language for communication.
3.
Students
have motivated for learning.
This approach is different from other because it
starts with Presentation follow by Practice and then Production.
The last topic of the day is Project-based learning.
It is emphasizes learning activities that are long term. Students are learning
by doing project. Students will know the problem and use the problem for
learning. Learners must learn with their group outside classroom and teacher
will evaluate from task or project of them.
For
English classroom, how to teach is important. Teacher must know and understand
about what they want to teach and how to make understand for learners. It will
help them for successful in English classroom.
